I believe the only difference between e90 and e92/3 is the tip length being approx 1" shorter on the e90 due to the style/shape of the rear bumper.
Let's hope the exhaust gains some traction and you can find a e90 in Austin to get on the lift for a test fit.
Once you can build one, I'll be in line as I'm sure others will.
