FWIW, I know an editor of a car magazine, who recommend that jack to me. I know he's used that jack extensively, and if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

You must be aware that Harbor Freight is fairly well universally known for "throw away" quality tools, right? I don't care if the Pope recommended a Harbor Freight jack to me I would not buy one. I have the same opinion regardless of whethere or not you use it on conjunction with jack stands.
