Massa came so close to winning the Driver's Championship in '08. It took Hamilton making a pass on another car in the last corner of the last lap of the Brazilian GP (the last race of the season) to finish 5th and win the Championship by 1 point.
Massa was super exciting to watch on his way up - With Sauber he continually would fight his way through the second tier cars making exciting passes in an era of no DRS. Unfortunately that form and speed was somehow lost with his head injury.
