I know that in cars without CA that placing the key into the FOB that starts the car keeps the key charged. They recommend placing the key into the starter at least once a year. Not sure if this is the same for cars with CA? I would presume so. I would recommend placing the key into the ignition and driving around with it like that for a day, maybe that will recharge the battery and give you less problems. Hope this helps.
