11s are the replacement for the 01 with their 'modern materials and construction' after over 10 years of pad development since the 01 was introduced.
There are slight differences in initial bite and release characteristics (for the better) but i'd be surprised if many people would be able to differentiate them in a blind test. PFC has discontinued some pad shapes in the 01 all together and i'm sure in time there will be no more 01. The 11 is just a better, modern version. I wouldn't be scared of it.
