I wouldn't doubt that they ran only a portion of the track for DE's. Just after T5 is a short loop to the north that enters the track before T12. This cuts out the east portion of the track including most of the long straight. But the track is seriously difficult with lots of elevation creating changes in grip through the corners. I am sure that it will take most of us quite a while to figure it out, no matter what length is run.

BTW, the undercard races (Historic F1, Ferrari Challenge and Porsche Cup West) all ran the full 3.4 mile course.
