You will lose money. Check out fastestlaps.com and type in RS5 vs M3 (where the RS5 wins 12 out of 15), and/or check out the "Fifth Gear" episode where the racer types find that the RS5 is just that little bit quicker around a road course.
Not to take anything away from the M3. It's more fun to drive (on the street or on track), according to the road testers.
