So far there are 2 failiulars that ive heard / seen.one in this thread and second where i service my car.
The tech told me that it lost one of the clutches and BMW replaced the entire tranny without asking any questions but as mentioned before,there are DCTs that are staying together and i know of a couple of them that are putting down more than 500whp but they also have ESS DCT software.Check this out
BTW,ESS software allow the tranny to engage faster and that elimenate over heating .
