I feel like if a shop makes a quote, they need to stand by it and swallow the loss if there is one. All we have to rely on is what you tell us. $2500 is a good deal and I'm assuming that's why he came your way, YOU MADE THE MISTAKE, NOT HIM and explaining why there is an $800 discrepancy DOES NOT absolve you.
