make sure you have the rotation right. The back one on the drivers side is not aligned like the other 3 on that side, but I believe the 4 on the passenger side are all aligned the same. You'll notice a notch out on the valve cover where the connector should sit when fully down. Check those out, It'll help you align it.
They do make a nice thunk sound when they are seated.
