I just had my faulty amp replaced in my '09. 1300 for the amp and with the troubleshooting (even though I told them what the problem was) and recoding it would have been 2 grand if I still wasn't under warranty. I'm probably going to get the extended warranty when mine is up just because a couple little things like this can easily make it worth it, not to mention the risk of major problems. That's what I'm thinking anyway.

+1. I let the warranty expire on my E46 and spent nearly $4k in repairs in the final year that I had the car.
