Doubtful he would see 5-6 whp from 220E to 231E.

Not worth it unless you are on something older.

I'm going to be offering a remote update package for 231E. Just perfecting everything first before I send it out. In my 'testing' I wound up bricking my DME. But that was the point - to make sure that it didn't happen to you! Will be making a thread on it in the next couple of weeks to explain a few more things. Right now behind tons of emails, sorry for slow replies..

Just a quick note: To those that said the could start is a bit more choppy with the newer software, you are correct. BMW changed the way that the ignition timing during secondary air system is calculated and there is a 'new method' which differs from the way it was calculated before. This is why you'll notice more choppiness during cold start with the newer software, completely normal.
