It should at the very least match that of the players.... The coach should be held to a much higher standard than the ghetto fabulous players, and therefore his punishment should be much more harsh.
But that's just my opinion. OSU can't afford to lose Tressel for more than 5 games (well, they CAN afford to, but I'd expect at least two losses if he's gone through the sixth game), but if they do, at least they'd have time to prep his sit-in before the season starts. That would be one advantage of making sure the determination of the length of his suspension is done quickly.
