You're right in the sense that it will be more of a 'clinic'. But for those of us already in the CCA, and itching to run our cars now, we know that there is not much happening this month.
El Toro's runway 'straightaway' is 2 miles long. Their created track length is 2.2 mi. The OCRC have done a pretty good job of utilizing the portion of the runway alloted to them to create a nice "track" that for many of us is within a 30 minute drive from our homes... besides, it's free!
