The CCC and CIC give a user interface for the Bluetooth but the Bluetooth functionality is provided by a different module (TCU or MULF). If you upgrade to the CIC you should also upgrade to the Combox. This will guarantee your Bluetooth hands free calling will work fine and you will gain additional Bluetooth features like audio streaming.
