Best investment I made was the Apex wheels with tires. I went with RS3 because I bought the set used, but I'm happy with this stepping stone even though I may have been ready for R compounds.
The RS3 I think is a great transition tire, more grip than the Pilots when warmed up, ok traction in the wet on warm days, and you can drive to the track on them. Good wear too.
