The setup looks great, and I can't wait to order now.

My question is, do you think you need a chip flash to make it all work well together, or does it seem to be pretty solid without a chip reflash? This was my main issue with my e46 m3, the last 1 year I had it I ended up doing the exhaust and intake etc etc, and never felt like I got it right, figured I needed to get the chip reflashed. Ended up selling (back to stock) before I seriously considered that though. What are your thoughts on this?

I reckon you should just go for the short-shifter installation when you fit your exhaust. IMHO, i don't think the chip flash is necessary at this point in time because the response i got from the exhaust alone was noticeable through the rev ranges. The fitting of the intake was the added bonus to free up the car.
