It depends on your resources and track use.
A typical pro race team will rebuild their race dampers after every race (approx. 200 miles) because they can and have the resources.
You don't have to rebuild that often - but when I ran race dampers on a street/track car I would have them rebuilt/re-valved every 2500 miles.
It was a pain in the ass - not to mention the stiff/hard uncomfortable ride when faced with 95% of uneven streets and bridge dividers.
