i would first....

1) figure out if you want a CPO ( certified pre owned) or a regular one.

2) build one and price it on a site like Kelley Blue Book. that will give you an idea of what you're looking at.

3) scour sites like cars.com, auto trader as well as looking through dealer inventory....either locally and/or nationwide. this will give you an idea of what the market wants out there.

4) start cold calling any ads that interest you. open dialogue with as many sales people as you can....this will give you the actual reality of what the market is like out there.

5) now you should determine wether this reality works with your budget.

once you've done all this, then bring those numbers, links to ads...whatever....bring that information here and bounce it off the forum.

that's the best way to get the most out of a resource like this. which can be incredibly helpful if you use it right.

other than that, you're asking for others to do what i described above to some extent...and since they don't know what a "good deal" is to you... they can never really give you the answer you're looking for.
