That's what I think too and that's where I was planning on putting it. It makes the most sense but the diagram isn't clear one way or another. If that's where the bracket goes, I'm not sure if the threaded sleeve is supposed to rest on the top of the bracket, or the body of the shock, or both kinda. It's close.
The diagram almost seems to point to the line under the bracket. That's why I started second guessing.
