does not always provide accurate information on your order. For this reason I always provide my customers with a confirmation file from BMW. This form called the Vehicle Inquiry Report, usually has the production number in the upper left-hand corner unless you are doing a European Delivery (which gets updated with the production number later).
You get an itemized description of the order with model number, e.g. 1137 (2011 M3 Coupe).

Options usually retail only (wholesale and retail though me)
The VIR should always be provided because it it your reassurance that your BMW will go into production.
