After reading through everyone's comments, it has been interesting to see the different views on the M5, M3, and 335i. I think we can all agree that these BMWs are all fantastic in their own way.
This weekend I'm going to test drive an M5, so I should be able to make my decision based on that drive. I'm down to 2 options at this point, the M5 or a new E92 coupe with trading in the 335i in 2014/15 for the new M3.
I'll keep you guys updated. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions!
