All the meets I've been to have been predominately Asian - where there are Asians. At the Colorado meet I was the only one with some melatonin but the FL meets were diverse as a mofo. I just moved to the Bay and there are so many Indians and Asians here...I would swear that white people are in the minority here

i think thats true, esp for the south bay /silicon valley area. i moved here from houston, tx many years ago for school, and i was struck by the lack of white people in all my classes (granted, they were engineering classes, ha ha). also, it depends on the function--in most high-tech companies that i've seen, the engineering, product management/development, corp strategy, etc have higher ratios of indians and asians. i see more white people in HR, finance, etc.
