That's a good question. I heard the Performance Exhaust last week and loved it. It's not too loud, doesn't drone on...but has just enough noise to be noticeable. I had the performance exhaust on my previous E46 ZHP and loved it too.
I guess I was hoping to see a used one for a decent price. If not, I need to do some research to find out which aftermarket exhaust sounds as close to the performance one as possible.
