The biggest mistake a person can make is getting one at a steep discount, and trading it in. My aunt got a E36 M3 lightweight brand-new, as it sat in the showroom for more than a year (BMW's obviously have always been way overpriced). But after about 4 years, she got so tired of having no a/c and no radio she caved-in and got a E46 M3. Imagine if she had only kept it, I mean she was the original owner. Now someone collected it.
