To me it was an out lap, cold tires and not exactly race slicks, looked like he was just feeling the car out, confident enough to stay on it close to walls.
He wasn't qualifying for anything, just a loose lap for the camera, doesn't appear he's trying to put on a clinic, you shouldn't take it as such, he clearly has good car control skills.
But maybe your should call him and let him know how he should drive, some info.
