Just three little slits where the tabs on the metal backing go through. I've even put it back. So what is the big deal? Why can't it be replaced and how/why does it ruin the airbag?
It's ruined because there's no replacement part for just the roundel. You have to get a new airbag if it's damaged. Also I thought the tabs on the emblem are hooked so that it holds onto the airbag. If you pull it off doesn't it bend the hooks straight making it hard to secure? This was the case for the e46.
