That is not a transient supply issue per se. As I mentioned to you earlier on your own order thread, BMW has been explicit about the fact that DCT sedan will not be available before June. If your dealer does not know this, he is behind and needs to catch up on BMW releases.
The supply issue explicitly affects the availibility of DCT on coupes at this time, meaning, some folks have been able to put in DCT coupe orders while others are waiting on the sidelines for more allocations to open up.
