I started out with stock pads and noticed them fade by the end of my first track day with the car (did some auto-x with other cars, but never actual tracking). Next couple days I went with the stoptechs which gave me no problems (tight, relatively low-speed course). When I got the opportunity to drive on a real (indy) track, I upgraded the fronts to PFC-06 since this track had three consecutive 110 mph+ to <30 stops in a row. The combination held up well with my relatively high treadwear tires (extremecontact dw). Keep in mind that the tire choice will have a large influence on how much heat you put into your brakes, sticky tires are much harder on the pads than street tires.

The PFC-06s were not particularly kind on the street though, after a few days of squealing, they began grinding pretty loudly.
