Bad example... If Michelin claim to cover them, then they should actually but they clearly state on perfermance tires that tread life is not covered.

BMW does a great job of marketing the M's performance and track abilities as well as their $0 cost maintenace program. It's not being cheap to expect them to honor their own program. Of course, abuse shoudn't be covered, but some will just use it more than others... I'm sure you're no one here is naive enough to believe they didn't already build those cost into the car.
