Not sure if I'd take it over a used R8, but it would probably be more fun than an R8 (smaller cars tend to be that way).

R8 is awesome, good room, comfortable and quiet. I was considering and had test driven one but unless you're living in the UK it is as bothersome to own as your GTR. Because of worring about being keyed, I personally cannot enjoy it as an everyday car. I decided to get a nice car to drive everyday without any hassle or unwanted attention by others thus considering TTRS for daily. Good interior and fast. Just wish it was larger with more steering feel which Audi is known to forget. But at least it has a proper ebrake
