I did not pull the mirrors. I didn't pull anything for that matter. As far as how much to order, I'd just order the 2'x5' piece right off the bat. I did pretty much all of the trim minus the rear and two side pieces with the first 1'x5' piece. Then I ordered another one to do the rear and side pieces in one piece (you can't stretch it and make it look anything but bad!). It turned out well for under $40...
