First, this is the
E90/E92/E93 M3 forum, you have an
E46 M3. The correct forum for your M3 is this:

Second, your E46 M3 have a Service Indicator in the instrument cluster that literally tells you when service is due. If you do not understand how it works then take a look at your Owner's Manual or simply ask your dealer when you go to that appointment.
