Same here, very different conclusion.
My 335i was chipped, running on non-runflats but even when stock I thought it positively totally outshines the S4 on the fun quotient.
I don't dispute that the S4 may be more "planted", but it isn't more fun for me. Simply put RWD is where it's at.
