I think paying again for a SC tune makes sense. Totally different processes in developing these similar products.

We pay more because it is a BMW. BMW uses a sophisticated ECU and doesn't release many specifics. So tuners need to figure everything out. Which on an RX7 may be relatively simple but an RX7 doesn't have double VANOS, 8400rpm redline, and an ECU that does millions of calculations per second...not to mention an RX7 is not nearly as complex as an M3.
