Not surprised. They had one long-term, lived with all its faults and issues through 40k and have a pretty deep understanding of its true nature as a result. I wonder if people looking at them through totally new eyes would feel the same, but part of a car's present is its past and the M3 has a lot more past to back it up.
Funny they didn't mention the lap times around VIR. I bet the C63 was faster, that's a huge acceleration advantage.
