I don't normally get too excited by tyres or make unrealistic claims about tyre performance but subjectively the PSS are quite significantly better than the PS2 which was already the benchmark in tyre choice for the M3.
Best bang per buck for an improvement in grip, handling, balance and behavior when pushed beyond its limits. Saving a few $s on a far less able tyre would only make sense if you never push your car.
