After looking back now I wish my dad kept his old E36 M3 or even his old E30 M3 both were slower yet more fun to drive than the E46's. The E46's had to much junk and you could feel the weight of the car.

I have AS on my 330 just because that was what was left in inventory, but I definitely wouldn't want it on the M3. Its primary benefit is low-speed maneuvering.
