I got really tired of the Brita and Pur water filters. Last year I changed out to an under counter reverse osmosis system. It works great! The water tastes better than ever, the tea kettle doesn't get any scaly buildup at all, the espresso maker doesn't get clogged up....
I tapped into it as the filter for my refrigerator water as well. No more changing filters in the refrigerator any more.
The capacity of the RO system is much better too. It has a holding tank so you actually get really good flow when you turn on the drinking water faucet.
