Well, I'd imagine you're drinking cold water.
Just turn on the sink faucet and filler up, and stick it in the fridge.
I wouldn't use hot water, simply because it's all plastic parts.
I hate the damn things though, so much hassle. I enjoy the water filtered straight out the door on the fridge.
