Thanks for the feedback guys. And I appreciate the PMs vendors. I am under CPO warranty and Maintenance Warranty. I decided to roll the dice and bring the car to the dealer.
Agreement was that if the clutch was damaged due to abuse then I would be on the hook for the bill ($1400 in labor @ 9 hrs, optional $2700 in parts if i decided i wanted to replace). If there was no signs of abuse then warranty would be covered. Note: I have never done any burnouts, launches, donuts, etc..however, I'm not the original owner.
SO i rolled the dice and this is what they found:
What they found was a broken spring which damaged the flywheel. End result= covered. WHEW
Got the car back yesterday. Noticed the clutch pedal feel is significantly lighter than before. Will break in the clutch ~500 miles and report back.
Hopefully you guys don't need a new clutch anytime soon.
