Haha, for these cars I would change the lower limit of your range to $70K and the upper limit to about $85k. Expecially the new C63. This is what's gonna cost to take one of these cars home (ALL costs included). Lotsa people with fat wallets in this market segment will keep prices high.
Even the new Evo X (no lux) will MSRP in the mid $40s and good luck getting one at that price (at least in 2008).
Bottom line: the $50K lux-perf car is dead. Say hello to the $70K+ cars of 2008-2009. It sucks
