I don't know... but I'm assuming it was a rock chip that occurred during transport from TX to NC? In any case, it was only about 3-4mm in size, but deep enough to reach the carbon fiber underneath the clearcoat. The body shop filled it with a blob of clearcoat and let it dry for a couple days. Then, he sanded, polished, and waxed. The rock chip is now completely gone!
