Yep I'm aware of that. The 100hp/litre trademark started with the S50B32, which was also BMW's first double-VANO (now another M trademark) engine.
Technically, BMW Motorsport's first 100/litre engine was the McLaren F1's S70/3, which was basically two S50B30s as found in the Euro E36 M3 3.0.
