This is my experience also. Had the new F30 been available now I'm certain I would have gone that way if only for better fuel economy alone. I'm absolutely ecstatic to have the last of the V8's though that's for sure. Better than earlier years no one can say but certainly having taken delivery with 6 miles on the ODO that placebo "new car" effect was front and center in my mind.
