Test drove a FR-S yesterday. Great car for the money, but sorely needs more power. Acceleration from 60-80 passing on the highway just didn't cut it. Other than the narrow trunk opening, there aren't any other big downsides to the car. If I was buying, I would get the Subaru though.
If they do come out with an STI version next year (rumored to be higher power, but not turbo or SC), I may consider one as a replacement for my Cayman. The money I'd save from buying another Porsche will pay for one kid's college.
