Neither
. They complement each other. Play with both until you get the sound you like. My '08 sounds pretty good, and I've had many high-end stereos on my other cars, from Mark Levinson, B&O, etc. I wouldn't rate this the highest, but close, mostly due to being able to manipulate frequencies separately with the equalizer. It only lacks in base, but with the music I hear and at the volumes I hear it, it's plenty adequate, to the point I don't need to mess with them. Good luck.
