Wow, I just placed an order with a US discount tire shop for a set of 4 Nitto NT01 to get my new APEX ARC-8 suited up for track season. Great deal, free shipping and they include all the tax/duty/brokerage fees in the transaction so you don't get screwed over by UPS (who nails you usually).
The US tire shop just called me to let me know that they are not permitted to ship the NT01 into Canada as their is a retailer (you know who I'm talking about, starts with a K) that has exclusive distribution rights for Nitto.
These K crooks are charging almost 2x the US cost!!!!
I'm in for boycotting K and Nitto because of this!!! I thought we live in a free market society!!! This is a borderline criminal............
Any alternate track tire suggestions? I've run R888 before but was looking forward to try out the Nitto as I have read good things.
