The way you see smoothness of ticking actually varies on more things that just the ticks, the size and shape of the second hand also impact how it visually appears. I can certainly see a difference when looking and ugly co-axial ticking.  |
do you have a constant second hand as well? is it clunky too? (though harder to tell due to size)
