When you compared the Mini vs Beetle and the thought turns to which would appeal to the female audience most, the previous Beetle would have jumped into my mind first but now I believe their roles have reversed. The new Beetle looks sort of aggressive now and definitely will appeal to much more men as well as women.
Don't quite yet those people that don't understand this/these type of cars, the Mini, Beetle, 500 are all fashion choices, normal cars which hark back to past icons, they don't need to be as practical as the cars they are based on or similar price because they have a different appeal.
